New Members

Do you remember when you were new to Stardoll? Were you confused? Were you lost, unknowing what to do? Did the common Stardoll terms: hotbuys, LE, etc... mystify you? I would honestly be surprised if you weren't. Even if you had a mentor to help you understand things, they couldn't do everything for you.
Honestly, Stardoll does not have things set up in a way that is very helpful for new members. They offer a tutorial, just saying what you can do on Stardoll and offering links, but it doesn't say how to do it once you want to do it a second time, when the links aren't offered. I figure this is probably why so many people leave Stardoll a few days after they've joined. They are probably just confused and don't know what to do.
Stardoll has improved their system for new members already by offering better items when you join. You used to just have a plain white top, black tights, a plain black skirt,  brownish-black heels and a black scarf. That and the outfit you chose when you signed up was all you had to work with until you could build a decent wardrobe for yourself. But this doesn't help things all too much in the long run. They should improve their tutorial. They could have a Callie guiding you around the site, showing you step by step how to do things like changing your medoll or saving a doll you dressed up in your album instead of just providing links. I honestly think this would help them keep more new members instead of getting them, then loosing them.
Do you have any opinions on how Stardoll greets new members? Do you have any other ideas on how they could improve the system?
